Rukus made me do it!

anyway, i got offered a new job on monday. woo hoo!  i'm going to be working for NCR fixing cash registers, ATMs, self checkout lanes (all basically computers inside). so it'll be computer hardware and networking based. i'll be responsible for all of norther Nevada, from Utah to California border, and some spill over into other states sometimes. might even have to travel to other reigons to help cover vacation/sick leave. this job will have 2 months of training, held in Atlanta, then after that i move to Reno, NV. i've only been to Reno a handfull of times, mostly driving through (once on my way to nebraska for my freshman year of college. that's a different blog). but i've never stayed there for any extended time, and i've always been in some sort of hotel room or something. now i'll have to find a place to live while i work there, who knows how long that will be for. i'd prefer to live in a house, since i'll have this work provided van to put my stuff in and i don't want it to get broken into or jacked. it's a great job, they provide the car, pay for it, pay for most of my tools...and BENEFITS!!!! the pay is good, plenty of overtime available. and i'll be on call 24 hours for one week a month every month.

and i'm getting android before i leave for training, in about 3 weeks or so. which means i'll be just a little ahead of schedule before i leave. my biggest motivation is i don't trust my storm while i'm across the country for two months. and learning about the new phone will give me something to do with my free time! so that's what is new with me so far.

And good luck with your android, and get a GSM version, so much more choice.
